I then began experimenting with different colour combinations for the 2-tone prints - there would be a total of three different colour combinations used throughout the calendar. They need to be soft, varied and complimentary. I looked again at the previously calendars I had researched for inspiration and eventually found several colour combinations which worked. It was important that for each print there was one lighter colour and one darker - as the lighter tone will always be underneath the darker.
Underneath are several of the colour experiments. The pink and blue design was omitted as it seemed to appear too feminine and didn't quite match the colourful combinations of the other designs.
