Tile Creation

After deciding I wanted to develop something that involved a tile or multiple tiles I went down to the ceramics workshop. Here I learnt how to roll clay and the coatings it would need for it to be a white colour. However, I had to test how the screen printing would work on the tile. This meant I tried some of the screen printing ink on a tester tile before it went into the kiln. Unfortunately it came out almost without mark, this meant I had to find another method to transfer a design onto a tile. Alternatively a design could be created that didn't need to involve a tile, although I tile would be a good tribute to Cuthbert Brodrick's work in City Hall.
