Projection Development

We then began experimenting with how we would set up the projector and the kind of textures we wanted. I printed several that had a simple black to white gradient in circles and others they used a full colour halftone with circular patterns put into a greyscale.

This variation of patterns meant lots of different textures could be created, allowing them to shimmer once on the wall. We found that this worked especially well once people stood in front of it, which confirmed our hopes that it would be a good aesthetic for an Instagram post.

Once placed with a hashtag above it, we found this worked well as a concept. Even the shape that light box projects is similar the square of Instagram images.
