Photography Backgrounds - End of Year Show Branding - Collaborative Brief

In order to create a background for the tiles, we photographed differed aspects of the university, looking for interesting angles that would reflect the different courses. By making them black and white it has created an effect that ages the photographs nicely, giving them a link to perhaps the beginnings of the university. It creates a contemporary style and with the juxtaposition of the modern settings, it gives them breadth. With them being black and white it also means that when the tiles are placed on top, they will pop from the page - creating layers in the composition.
