Triangular Frame Development:

To make the desgin succinct it needed to have a frame that would link each of the symbols together.

I looked at another modern apocalyptic film '28 days later' which I noticed introduced a triangular spear shape. I researched this symbol and realised it meant 'biohazard' which gives a clear link to destruction and futuristic dystopias. This was then developed into a way of incorporating the symbols. There had to be the current zone placed in the centre and then the surrounding zones represented in a format suggesting they were the 'next direction' to be taken. 

One issue with design is that the central circle is not connected to the rest of the white space, which means that it would be difficult to block the shape in the centre, which would have to be a separate stencil. For this, three rectangular shapes need to connect the centre circle with the outer circles to give it some stability.
