Through
this exercise I developed an understanding of the intricacies of the
inside of a videotape and introduced some new components to it's
composition. This worked well as I realised the detail of a videotape
when cracked open is jagged and expressive- the pictures worked well
as almost a 'broken' response. The shadow of the tape also became an
aspect of the work, a face was created as part of the tape to create
an eerie, horror movie aesthetic.

Introducing something natural, like a person, to something so fragmented and unnatural. |

The shadows used to create a eerie 'horror' effect. |
