Tattoo Designs

Finally, it was suggested in the crit that the work could be furthered by making the symbols into tattoos. These would be to signify which zone the person belonged to. I developed these as tattoos because the designs have been stylised to instil some pride and ownership of the zone you originate from- almost like an emblem. They become more than objective and are something that civilians need to feel emotionally connected to, making them considerably subjective. By having them inked in black on the hand it becomes defining and bold, almost intimidating.
