Square Based Frame Development

In the crit it was discussed that the frame system should have four zones surrounding the centre, not three. This was to create a dice shape so there would be more emphasis on the ‘luck’ of survival. Also by putting the frame into a diamond shape it has more direction and energy- rather than being a static triangular shape.

Developmental designs

  It was important to consider where the panels coming from the centre would go to hold the stencil in place. Eventually it was decided that the design would be split into four black shapes by the use of 4 panels. This meant that the four sections would look more like arrow shapes and the actual symbols could be isolating them in black; allowing them to be bold and standalone (not connected to the centre by panels.)
