These
experiments were to use the creepy quality created by the fragmented
videotape and place them in a horror movie design. The scans of faces
look eerie and dead almost which attributes to the style. In each one
a brand of videotape has been overlaid in order to keep the pieces
consistent with each other.
However,
the pieces were so random and didn't seem to have much purpose. Aside
from a horror film link, there was nothing pushing the design,
similar to my previous experiments. One image I scanned was to
resemble the iconic image from the 'shining', which seemed to be
effective. In future I could research videotape horror and develop
designs from those.
