Studio Brief 2 - Logo Sketches

After thinking of several brand names, I looked at creating logos for the book cafe. These are all rough sketches but I eventually sided on the idea of making a beetle themed logo. I found that the ones sketched with a compass theme didn't communicate the friendly vibe I'd researched, and they also felt more like a travel brand. By creating a small illustration/caricature of a beetle, it immediately makes the book cafe seem more enticing and comfortable. I eventually settled on 'Book and Brew' for the title of the cafe. By dropping the 'N' and replacing it with 'and' makes the brand seem more literary focused.
