Pan Macmillan Storybook - Finalised Plot

For the competition the Book is required to be 32 pages long. We plan to make this A4 in size in order to have it as a reasonable size but also be able to print it on good stock.

1 - Cover

2-3 - End Pages.

4-5 - Imprint page and title page

6-7 - There is a shot of the children in a hallway, they are getting warm clothes on to cross the Moor.  Louie comes down in an explorer hat. The dialogue explains they're going to their Grandma's.

8-9 - The children are climbing the face of the moor, rocky steps/random shapes 'So high!' 'Slow down Louie!' 'Be careful on the rocks.'

10-11 - They come across some stone piles and Louie nearly knocks one over. He gets told fairies live in them.

12-13 - Shot of Louie looking at fairies living in the stone piles.

14-15 - The children hear some birds calling to each other and it sounds like they're laughing.

16-17 - The birds are revealed as Mrs and Mrs Grouse having a dinner party - close in shot.

18 - The children come across a stream and attempt to cross.

19 - Louie falls in and is helped out by a stranger.

20-21 - There is a shot of the stranger as a sailor fighting an octopus.

22-23 - The children are crossing some mud and Louie gets mud all over the girl's dresses.

24-25 - The girls tell Louie that the mud is actually quicksand - mudmonster?

26 - The children see a shadow up ahead in the woods, they're anxious.

27 - They imagine what the shadow could be, it looks like a 'Moor monster'.

28-29 - The shadow is revealed as their Grandma, waiting to walk them home.

30-31 - End Page. A shot of the family walking home holding hands.

32 - Blurb
